Today God came through for me in a mighty way. I had my first mini break-down. We were at the mall at lunch time, and of course, the clamoring began. "I'm hungry!" "Mom, when are we gonna eat!" So we fed them mall food. Normally this isn't a problem, but my program is pretty strict. Since there was a Sub-way there, I had Shawn get me a salad, hold the dressing, please. No problem, right? Right! Caleb was sitting there across the table eating french fries in slow-mo, and Hailey's sesame seed chicken was dripping with sweet yummy-ness. I wanted to knock my son down and sit on him to eat five or twelve of his fries. So I closed my eyes and cried out. When Peter cried out as he started sinking, Jesus reached for his hand and saved him. So I called on Jesus and He reached for my hand.
Shawn could tell by the look on my face that my salad wasn't very good, so he went to Chick-fil-a to get me a chicken breast. When I pulled a breaded one out of the bag, I started to cry. I needed a grilled one. The breaded ones are just overgrown chicken nuggets. My sweet husband ran and got me a grilled one, and everything was okay after that.
